Credit Reporting Opt-In Property

Prisma has partnered with PiƱata to provide on-time credit reporting to residents. 

For residents to opt in, follow the steps below:

  1. In the Prisma Resident portal, navigate to the left and select “Credit Reporting”
  2. Click ‘Activate”
  3. Verify the information pre-filled is correct and enter any information that may be blank
  4. Acknowledge the Terms and Conditions and click “Submit”

Once the resident has opted-in for credit reporting, they cannot opt-out. They will remain enrolled for the remainder of their lease. 

When their first rent payment is reported, a tradeline will be opened on their credit report. At the time of moving out, a tradeline will be closed. 

There will be a delay in credit reporting. On the last day of each month, Prisma will notify Pinata of on-time rent payments. Pinata will then report this data to credit bureaus on the 15th of the following month. For example, a rent payment made on 10/01/25 will be reported to credit bureaus on 11/15/25.

Please note: credit reporting is an optional add-on feature available to property management companies (PMCs) who choose to upgrade their Prisma package. It is not automatically included in the Prisma platform. Only properties that have opted into the credit reporting upgrade will offer this program to their residents.
